「若者＝マイノリティ」と捉えると、色々なものが見えてくる。年長者世代からすると、若者がネットで繋がってコミュニティを形成するのは、ネットという新しいものに若者が順応しやすいからだと思うだろう。確かにそれもあるが、それだけではないような気がしてきた。
ネットという場所は、マイノリティが可視化されやすい場所でもある。実社会で隅に追いやられ、意見を圧殺され、実質的に発言権を奪われている人たちが、ネット上で繋がり、コミュニティを形成し、発言するということはよくある。若者というマイノリティも、それと同じことが起こっているだけなのかもしれない。
